Roller Chains Manufacturer
Roller Chains Manufacturer – JAS Engineering
JAS Engineering is a specialized roller chains manufacturer supplying precision-engineered industrial roller chains for power transmission and material handling applications across a wide range of industries. Our roller chains are manufactured from high-grade alloy steel with heat-treated components for superior tensile strength, extended wear life, and consistent performance in both light-duty and heavy-duty operating conditions. We supply roller chains conforming to IS, ANSI (ASME B29.1), and DIN standards as well as custom non-standard configurations to meet specific machine requirements.
Types of Roller Chains We Manufacture
Our standard single strand roller chains are the most widely used power transmission chains across industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, and general engineering applications. Manufactured in pitches from 6.35mm (ΒΌ”) to 76.2mm (3″) and conforming to IS/ANSI/DIN standards, these chains deliver reliable torque transmission with low maintenance requirements when properly lubricated.
Double Strand & Multi-Strand Roller Chains
Where higher load capacity is required without increasing the chain pitch, double strand and multi-strand (triplex, quadruplex) roller chains provide a practical solution. Our multi-strand roller chains are precision-assembled to ensure equal load sharing across all strands, making them ideal for high-power drives in cement plants, steel mills, and heavy industrial machinery.
Heavy Series Roller Chains (H Series)
Heavy series roller chains feature thicker link plates compared to standard chains of the same pitch, providing significantly higher tensile strength and fatigue resistance. They are the preferred choice for shock-load applications, slow-speed high-torque drives, and environments where standard chains experience premature fatigue failure.
Stainless Steel Roller Chains
For applications involving moisture, chemicals, food processing, or pharmaceutical environments where corrosion resistance is essential, we manufacture roller chains from SS304 and SS316 stainless steel. Stainless steel roller chains are also suitable for cleanroom and washdown environments where standard carbon steel chains cannot be used.
Nickel-Plated Roller Chains
Nickel-plated roller chains offer enhanced corrosion resistance over standard carbon steel chains while being more cost-effective than full stainless steel chains. They are widely used in food and beverage, packaging, and FMCG processing lines.
O-Ring & X-Ring Sealed Roller Chains
O-ring and X-ring roller chains incorporate elastomeric seals between the inner and outer link plates to retain factory-packed grease inside the chain joints. This dramatically reduces the need for external lubrication and extends chain life significantly in applications where regular greasing is impractical, such as outdoor drives, dusty environments, or elevated conveyor systems.
Extended Pitch Roller Chains
Extended pitch roller chains have a longer pitch than standard chains of equivalent roller diameter, making them suitable for slow-speed, high-load conveyor drives and material handling applications. Common extended pitches include 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, and 76.2mm.
Attachment Roller Chains
We supply roller chains with standard and custom attachments (K1, K2, A1, A2, SA1, SA2, and special bent-tab attachments) for conveying and carrying applications where the chain needs to transport or support product directly. Attachment chains are widely used in packaging machinery, food processing lines, and assembly conveyors.
Roller Chain Components & Construction
Every roller chain we manufacture consists of the following precision-machined components, each critical to chain performance and life:
Roller – The outer rotating element that contacts the sprocket tooth. Manufactured from case-hardened steel for wear resistance and smooth engagement.
Bush – Press-fitted into the inner link plates, the bush provides the bearing surface for the roller. Precision-machined for accurate fit and consistent roller rotation.
Pin – The connecting element between inner and outer links, manufactured from high-tensile alloy steel and case-hardened to resist bending fatigue and wear.
Inner Link Plates – The side plates connecting two adjacent bushes. Manufactured from cold-rolled alloy steel strip and heat-treated for fatigue strength.
Outer Link Plates (Pin Link Plates) – The outer side plates connecting two adjacent pins. Same material and treatment as inner link plates.
Connecting Links & Offset Links – Spring clip connecting links (simplex), cottered connecting links (heavy duty), and half-link offset links are supplied for field assembly and chain length adjustment.
